I dont use the little pillow it comes with for my newborn but the baby lounger/nest is AMAZING, I would buy it 100 times over and recommend to all friends or potential buyers. I have the nest sitting on the lounge and am able to pick my baby up and put her down safely and quickly if need be to run after my other 2 young children, I use it to change her with a towel or blanket underneath but it is also machine washable and I just pop it in the machine if it needs a wash. It comed vacuum sealed tightly and puffs right out when opened and assembled. My baby also naps in it during the day sometimes when out in the loungeroom with us. It has a handle on one side and I am able to carry it from room to room as need be and although not ideal and wouldnt risk it a further distance (only in case I accidentally dropped or lost grip of one side of lounger or tripped over something) I have had to pick it up with her in it to transport both from one end of the couch to the other. It really is handy.

I gifted the nest to my Daughter for my 6 week old granddaughter because my Daughter thought it might help with getting my granddaughter to sleep on her own. At first, my granddaughter was not happy about it, but with patience and trying her for longer and periods of time each time, she is now 9 weeks old and sleeps in the nest at night until she wants a feed then goes back in afterwards and sleeps in the nest until morning. The nest is still on the bed but my Daughter is moving it into the bassinet this week, at least she's not sleeping with my granddaughter on her arm so she can get out of bed if she needs to. Slowly and patiently my Daughter will use the same approach with transitioning the nest into the bassinet as she did with transitioning my granddaughter into the nest in the first place and I'm sure, in as long as it needs to take, my granddaughter will be happily sleeping in the nest in the bassinet. All in all an investment I'm happy I made.
